vCash: 500 | Portsmouth: The New Chelsea A son of a Russian Billionaire has confirmed his intrest in becoming joint owner of Portsmouth FC with Milan Manderic. Speculation says that this will give Pompey a £100 million transfer kitty. In my view, if they manage to secure one big signature others will follow. Is this the way English football is going and soon all teams - bar sunderland :P will be competing it out with 23 World Class players. Will it soon be like The Championship (each season everyone starts equal) but with more money and quality involved? Discuss ![]() |

vCash: 500 | Seen this on text this morning. Intresting but then buying a small club and then creating everything from scratch would be good! for example a new stadium would be great for pompey who probablyhave the worst stadium in the Premiership right now. However i cant (at the moment) see Pompey being anything like Chelsea. |

vCash: 500 | Nope. aint going to happen, if they did want to make a good go of it they could do with moving into a proper stadium that can bring in some more revenue. They just dont seem big enough as a club to ever consider being a force like Chelsea, honestly i would like to be prooven wrong but i cant see it. |

vCash: 500 | I cant see them being 'as' rapid as Chelsea and growing at Chelseas rate but ues could happen over a longer period of time. They will find it hard to attract decent players though. |
