vCash: 480 | McFadden out for a month Everton forward James McFadden will be out of action for around a month after picking up a hamstring injury on international duty. McFadden missed last weekends 3-0 Merseyside derby victory after pulling up during Scotlands 2-1 win in Lithuania in a Euro 2008 qualifier. The clubs medical staff have now had time to fully assess the problem and the verdict was not good news for the 23-year-old. Head physio Mick Rathbone told Evertons official website: "James McFadden injured his hamstring, as we all saw watching the game unfolding on television last week - and that is your worst nightmare when the player is thousands of miles away. The injury happened eight days ago and he is doing okay, doing some light jogging but there is a small tear there so he is going to be out for up to a month." |

vCash: 500 | Big blow for both Everton, who have started the season brilliantly, and McFadden who would have been on a high after his performances and goal for Scotland last week. |

vCash: 500 | if it's 4 wks he's out for he'll miss both the France and Ukraine games ( 07/10 and 11/10 respectively). Damn it, that's a big loss for the National team as well as he really turns it opn for Scotland. The premiership is still to see the best of McFadden. A very, very talented player |

vCash: 500 | it's frustrating as he's not really had a chance to establish himself but he'll come good. Everton spent over a million on him and even the Old Firm wanted him at the time as he was the hottest property in Scottish football. I think he plays really well with Scotland coz we're usually the underdogs and he can relax and let his feet do the talking. If he gets a good run he'll be a sensation down there ( if he can control his temper. He is a wee bit gallus as we say up here. that's another reason why we like him) |

vCash: 500 | Everton, Liverpool and Man Utd have always seemed to have at least one scotsman in their team.Maybe it is just because these clubs are a bit closer to home! McFadden will be a loss though, hopefully we have Maloney available - he may get a chance to establish himeself in the National team. |

vCash: 500 | don't forget Graeme Sharpe who was the last striker to hit 20 goals for Everton, 19 years ago. plus if you look at the great man u, liverpool, everton, leeds teams etc ..they've always been built around a core of Scotsman both in terms of players and managers. |

vCash: 500 | Getting back on to McFadden, he will be a greater loss to Scotland than to Everton. Bith Johnson and Beattie are playing well together at the moment. |

vCash: 500 | MacFadden will become a big player for everton in the coming years. he was starting to get into the team more last year and was finally showing a good hard working attitude to go with all of the skill he has. He's was becoming a bit more of a team player. I think he will force his way into the team. As for Scotland, I think it might be a good oppertunity for Maloney to come in. Its good to have a few more options that can come in. Something we havent had in the past. |
