vCash: 500 | Top 6 is possible but I think that they will go through a sticky patch when the are hit with a few injuries/suspensions. Definately think that they will be in the top half though. Their best bet may be a long cup run. |

vCash: 500 | Your faith in us is touching! I was at the Blackburn game at the start of the season, and Primus in particular was fantastic (though he was at fault for the goal against Bolton on Monday). We are going to struggle for goals as the season goes on - I have already asked Golden Huddlestone for Defoe! - but if James keeps up this completely unexpected form and Campbell carries on getting his head back together, maybe we can stay in the top half just throughbeing hard to beat. To be honest, this is the best I have seen us play in the top division, including the old First. My only misgiving, as I have said to others, is where the money for all this is coming from - look into Arkady Gaydamak and his close friend Michael Cherney, both Israeli-based 'businessmen' from the ex-Soviet states, and you wil be worried too. Especially if you are Arsenal - I here you have some Russian interest in you? ![]() |

vCash: 500 | If Portsmouth can think of themselves as being safe by Christmas, barring and almighty drop of form, then I would say they have had a very successful season. Where the money is coming from is a topic for the other thread here ![]() |

vCash: 500 | I agree - we have a slightly deeper squad and more quality than before, which would hopefully even see us through the difficult Jan/Feb emergency ward period. I can't help seeing a great start to the season as just a god way of saving up early relegation-fighting points, but I don't mind that. Whatever anyone says, I don't enjoy losing but supporting a club is not all about winning - at least I can remember watching Pompey 25 years ago in the windy third, and I can get the buzz of just watching them battle and the fans get behind them - prefer that to being a glory-chasing blow in at Chelsea or Arsenal. |

vCash: 500 | I have always been impressed with Pompey's fans too, they can certainly get behind and lift their team - as long as they are given something to shout about. They are extremely passionate. I enjoy having teams like Pompey in the Premiership, and I especially enjoy watching the 'big 4' having to travel and play them down there. They never give anyone an easy game |

vCash: 460 | Are not all fans sulky when things are not going well? Old Firm fans generally expect their team to win every week, home and away. Not only win, but they need to win easily. This is because most other teams in the league are average at best. When things are not going well, if either are playing at home the boos will generally ring out during the second half. Quote:
