Anton was arrested in a night club in Essex.

LONDON (AFP) - West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand, the younger brother of England international Rio Ferdinand, has been arrested after an alleged assault outside a nightclub.

The 21-year-old, who has also played for the England under-21 team, was formally arrested when he attended an east London police station on Thursday, BBC reported.

He was held on suspicion of assault following a disturbance outside a nightclub in Essex early on October 2, police said Friday, adding that the footballer was bailed until next month.

Most of this is a lie I should think. All the famous people get accused of petty crime just look at RVP and Lita, I should imagine that he'll be let off scot free.

I agree with you Golden. If I met a football star or a famous face, maybe I'll try to injure myself so I can accuse him to get on the papers.

But again the curse of Tevez and Mascherio has struck again. Another thing for West Ham to deal with.
