Tevez suffers knee injury playing for Argentina

West Ham have a fresh concern over forward Carlos Tevez after he reported a minor knee injury in Argentinas 2-1 friendly defeat to Spain in Murcia.

The 22-year-old lined up alongside Hammers team-mate Javier Mascherano for the South Americans, who lost to goals from Xavi and David Villa.

"Early on my knee hurt and I did not play 100%," Tevez told Argentinian TV station TyC Sports.

Daniel Bilos scored Argentinaa goal, and Tevez added: "It is a new group of players and we know what we have as a squad. We have good players, but we have to find the team."

I think pardew will be relieved though hearing this news. He had been thinking hardly how to put Tevez and Mascherano into the team.
