No movement on West Ham takeover

Quote:
West Ham's takeover saga continues to rumble on after the club rejected suggestions a deal was imminent on Eggert Magnusson's proposed £75million bid.

The Icelandic businessman is understood to have improved his offer to the club's directors rejected his initial approach.

Speculation that there would be an announcement within the next 48 hours was scotched by a West Ham spokesman who declared: "This is absolutely, categorically not the case."

Magnusson is due to meet West Ham board members before the end of the week after his original bid of around £65 million fell short of West Ham's valuation.

The latest offer is thought to include an agreement to take on the club's existing block of £20 million debts. However, the funding for the deal will not come from the investment bank Starumur-Burdaras where Magnusson is vice-chairman.

Magnusson will be given permission to consult the club accounts if West Ham chairman Terry Brown is tempted by the latest bid.

Iranian-born businessman Kia Joorabchian, who co-ordinated the transfer of Argentina internationals Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to the club, has yet to make any offer despite declaring an interest in the Hammers.
Will this takeover do any good to West Ham? First, the two Argentines that related to this saga caused them loads of problems. Then, the takeover talks caused a major stir in West Ham's management.

I think the case must be sorted out as soon as possible to resuscitate West Ham's bad run.

a 6 game losing streak in all competition and without a goal is a little bit too much already.

The sacking will not come but i don't know if the buying goes through, what will the new owner think of him?

Maybe he sacked him and bring in Erricsson.
