vCash: 500 | Defoe likes a'nibble'. Jeez, can these players not afford any food. Should Defoe be punished or is it , as he said, a mountain out of a molehill? |

vCash: 500 | i agree but how severe was it did he really sink his teeth into the player or was it just the gesture. Mascherano hasn't really complained about it and did seem to make a meal of it. Of he had been really bitten, i'm sure he would have retaliated as that would be a reflex action. Not that i'm condoning Defoe's actions, i just think it may need some perspective. A lot of other mangers have come out and defende Defoe but i wonder how understanding they would be if it had been one of their players who had been 'bitten'. |

vCash: 379 | West Ham have said they will not be taking any action as there are no teeth marks in Mascherano's arm, he is alegedly furious that no action is being taken against Defoe, but I must say I think it was nothing and Mascherano's response was disgraceful. |

vCash: 500 | there has to be some form of punishment because the intent was there and the precident for that was set when players started being booked and sent off for intent eg. when a players lifts his hand to an opponent even if there is no contact. If there's to be any consistency then he should receive some punishment. Don't get me wrong, personally i think it's a nothing incident but if players are being sent off for violent intenet then there seems to be no room for discretion |

vCash: 500 | it's irrelevent how hard he bit him. He went to do it and with the precedent already been set he should face some sort of punishment. p.s welcome to the forum. hope you have a blast |

vCash: 500 | I think he should have been given a bad retrospectively. Maybe the incident wasn't too bad, but it is setting a trend, you can't allow something like that to happen in moderation, because where do you draw the line? Denis Law |
