Exclamation Larsson Signs for Man U

King Henrik Larsson has signed for Man Utd in a shock loan move. the deal is from Jan 1 to mid-March.
it'll be great to see the mighty one in action again. Looks like he's back to haunt Arsene and the gunners once again

i don't think anyone knew, even King Henrik. definitely caught the journalists out. Barcelone were rumoured to want him back for the rest of the season. Heard on sky sports news that last week Ronaldhino said Larsson is his idol and that he would love to see Larsson back at Barca. he was the fittest player in their squad ,so his age is defo no probs for Man U. a great piece of business for Man U

Larsson may be 35 and not the goalscoring master that made him a Celtic legend.

But anyone who witnessed Larsson playing at Chelsea in the Champions League last season, and in the World Cup against England last summer, dismisses him at their peril.

Ferguson clearly feels he needs a short-term fix to protect against ending up a striker light, with Alan Smith still on the road to recovery and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer injured.

And what is there to lose in landing Larsson?

He has proved he is still an intelligent and influential player in recent times, and his game has relied more on these qualities as much as blinding pace.

Larsson is a master goal predator, and he will get plenty of opportunity to prove he has still got it at Old Trafford.

He may also feel it gives him an unexpected chance to silence the few doubters who questioned whether he could score goals in the Premiership, despite an incredible record of 242 goals in 312 appearances for Celtic.

Larsson has proved his worth on the world stage and with Celtic.

But with typically misplaced arrogance about the quality of the Premiership, he was treated with an air of suspicion by some south of the border.

He would have scored goals in the Premiership at his peak. Only an idiot would say otherwise.

There may be some who regard it as a desperate measure by Ferguson - parachuting in a 35-year-old whose best days are behind him as a quick fix.

Nonsense.
says it all really

he's not there to earn a contract as he and SAF have already stated that he will return mid-March to start the Swedish season with Helsingborg.
He will score goals though given the opportunity and will add another dimension to Man U's attack. Most 35 year olds wouldn't be able to handle the rigours and pace of the Premiership but this guy is supremely fit and an intelligent footballer.
he'll score 10 in the three months

I think he will be great as a clean-up striker for when Saha or Rooney gets tired after the 70th minute in the games....

Only means when Rossi comes back in January he has even less games to play

He's an absolute legend no matter wehat happens at Man U. Never mind the numerous Celtic memories i have of him it was his two passes that killed Arsenal in the Champions league final and this move seems to me to be a bit of a masterstroke for Fergie. I hope it goes well and he gets a few goals

You've heard the likes of Ronaldinho talking about how he learned a lot from Larsson. Well Rooney could do well to listen to him to. He could teach him a lot about the game. About having a good work ethic, about proffesionalism, and also about the advantages of playing for a certain Glasgow Club.....

he'll be a revelation in the Premiership for the short space of time he'll be there. Not only will he prove an effective weapon to bring off the bench but will also keep Saha on his toes especially as Larsson is the more prolific goalscorer

not till january. but when he's there he will make a difference. he's one of these plyers that seem to have a script written for them. He's the best plyer i've ever had the privelige to have seen at Celtic and i think its a shame for him that a lot of people thought that just because he was playing in scotland he wasnt as good as we made him out to be. he put paid to that at Barca. he is a true legend.

He is a top quality striker, however his the first time he hit the net for Celtic in a european tie was an own goal because he had tracked back 60 or 70 yards to help his defence. His work rate is a great example for any professional footballer.

"We hate Kelvin MacKenzie, he's a p**f!" T shirts now on sale. £5 each. Who says Scot's don't know how to make money.

Yeah ....
Is great to have such a great player joining Man Utd !! although his age is old...yet with his full of experiences and what he had done in Barca last year,
He still have a lot to give for Man Utd the coming games...

Can't wait to see him playing for Man Utd
