vCash: 480 | Lennon signs Spurs contract extension Tottenhams England winger Aaron Lennon has signed a new five-and-a-half year contract, which commits him to the club until 2012. Since joining from Leeds in July 2005, the 19-year-old has made 48 appearances and scored four goals, as well as earning seven England caps. "He is a great talent now and there is so much more still to come," manager Martin Jol told the club website. "He is a prime example of the exciting talent we are attracting to the club." The player was clearly happy to tie-up his long-term future. "Im feeling really settled here at the club and Im thoroughly enjoying my football," said Lennon. "There is a terrific spirit in the squad and we have everything to play for this season." |
