vCash: 500 | Boltons season from a fans perspective Aint exactly the worse time to be a bolton fan, just goes to show any team under the right management can go onto big things dispite of their reputation For like the last 4 years mainly each of our seasons have reached new heights and its very exciting times for us right now. Uefa cup, rising high in the premiership and being considered contenders for that 4th spot is just that extra incentive to the situation. Holding Marsielle may not have been the best result we could have wished for but lets look at this realisticaly, we contained and should have beat a big name team such as Marsielle, its amazing really ... if anyone watched the match they cant deny the fact we justified ourselves against them. The quality within our camp now is just about as good as any in the premiership, call me crazy if you will but our progression in recent seasons, cup competitions justifys that. For once we are starting to blend in alot of young, rising talent into the team and contrasting them with our older, wiser and more experiance players such as Speed and Jay Jay. Safe to say the futures also looking bright for us now and each season aint such a struggle for us now having to sign players every season to help keep us in the premiership because the quality coming through the ranks is compesating for that and it just makes any fan proud ro e a fan at this moment in time. We are acheiving so much now and being considered a force in the premiership, just goes to show that it aint all about the Chelsea's, Man Utds and the Arsenals .. the so called big boys. Teams like Wigan and West Ham are also making name for theirselves and its great for the game that 2 out of 3 teams promoted are establishing them selves in the premiership, i mean Wigan are also in the carling cup final and its great that teams like Wigan and Bolton (who by the way are rivals) can be where they are in the league. We got West Ham in the FA cup this weekend and thats just a bonus for us, even if we get knocked out we have the Uefa cup replay to look forward too so we can still hold our heads high no matter the outcome. The find of the season for us has to be Abdoulaye Faye, this player has been a breath of fresh air for us. Since Campo got injured he hasnt been able to regain his place due to fayes consistany and this is what we need. His ability to break opposition players attacking and making 50-50 balls into 80-20 into his favour. Its just great to see that kind of commitment and passion on the pitch and this is what all of our player seem to have at the moment. In my opinion this is down to Big Sam giving them the platform they need to make a name for theirselves and excel into even great players. This has worked for the likes of Davies, Okocha and hoopefully the same outcome will occur for Jansen who i think was a great capture, he hasnt scored yet but his contribution in my opinion has been great so far. Of course, one of the Bolton greats has got to be Fernando Herrio, having such a start playing at the Reebok Stadium week in and week out is just an honour and added a new dimension to our game last season, unfortunatly he ended his carear on a high by refusin 2 see out another season with us but he helped us acheive European foootball this season and he was unbelievable for us. Thats the thing about us, we get so many world class players that people dont seem to think have what it takes to have an impact, people consider the Mario Jardel scenario a lost cause but he was once again a world class, top goal scorer that didnt get the recognition he deserved for us. Just goes to show what we have acheived and what we can keep acheiving for up and coming seasons. Lets just hope we can finish 4th this season and move onto higher heights. If not then the following season will be when we make the mark up their. However, am just concentrating on West Ham this weekend and reaching an FA cup final which would just be fantastic. Then theres a mouth watering prospect of getting into the last 16 of the Uefa cup when we play against Marsielle next Wednesday. Indeed great times for us and thanks for reading |
