Man U/ refs are they on the same side?

My partners family are all liverpool and Arsenal supporters. They are convinced that united get unfair assistance from refs, there was uproar in the house when Giggs's goal was allowed to stand against Lille thr other week, they seem to forget that Henry in particular has used the same 'quick thinking' himself in the past. Do you anti Man u fans really believe that the premiership and uefa would allow refs to 'cheat' or is it just a case of the other clubs being jealous?

I think all fans are rather one eyed ,we shout & scream about every bad decision that goes against us but ignore the ones in our favour, and bad decisions tend to even themselves out over a season.
Having said that I think there is a tendacy for referees in all countries to favour the big teams so the likes of United, Arsenal ,Liverpool & Chelsea all get more than their fair share of borderline decisions going in their favour, I think the old firm get it in Scotland as well and here in Portugal the big 3 also seem to be favoured so I guess it's the same everywhere.

aye. there is a certain bias towards some clubs regarding refereeing decisions. the OF can get a strangely higher number of penalties awarded to them compared to some of their opponents in any given season ( apart from this one, where Rangers haven't had as many as normal... )

everyone has their biases, even if they claim to be neutral.

Do the bigger teams not get more pens because they spend more time in the opponents area? I know there are far too many divers about but they also have the quality players who can force you into a foul.
