Jose At It Again

What the hell has this got to do with Mourinho??

He mentions the 2 appearances that he gave to Wright-Phillips at the end of the season as if he is really helping the England international team. Maybe by playing him in more games and not commenting on your London rivals may be more advisable.

Couldn't agree more. Jose needs to be careful the honeymoon period with the press is over. No doubt he is an excellent manager but it will be interesting to see his reaction if he gets a poor start to the season. The bigger they are the harder they fall.

As for SWP, Jose cost him his world cup place.

I agree that Jose needs to chose his battle's a little bit better, however there is a lot of sense in what he is saying. Arsene Wenger had every oppertunity to give this guy a game.

How can Wenger personally recommend Wallcott to England for a World Cup when he wouldn't give him a game in the premiership, league cup, f.a cup or Champions Leaugue. Not that i'm really bothered. c'mon the Swede's!

Raises the question of how obligated, if at all, club managers are to the home nation they work in, to bring on young players.

In my opinion a club manager's loyalty lies with the club he's employed by and to that club's fans. Being able to play players in order to help the national team is a luxury few mangers of big clubs can afford.

However this doesn't prevent a manager being able to express an opinion on a player if asked.

Could'nt agree more Jedi.

However it does raise conflicting loyalties. In Scotland for too long mediocre foriegn players have replaced the young scottish players and hindered their development. Scottish players used to be with every major club in England now very few are there. This has all been to the detriment of the Scottish National Team.

SFA take note - limit the number of foreign players in the spl teams now.

Here here. There surlely must be some special dispensation for football with regards to limiting the number of foreigners palying in national leagues. Whilst the Eurocrats bang on about how this infringes on a persons' right to employment within the E.C, national teams such as Scotland suffer as a result of the influx of these mediocre players.

However, the clubs can't be absolved of all blame as they voluntarily sign these players. idiots
