vCash: 500 | Easy guys, I’m in the research stage of my end-of-year dissertation and my tutor has bravely/foolishly advised me to stick my head into the lion’s mouth and gauge some public opinion on homophobia in football. Do you think homophobia is still an issue in the modern game or is so-called homophobic sentiment actually nothing more than light-hearted banter? If it is a problem, is the FA taking it as seriously as they would do with racism? If it’s not, why have there not been more out-gay footballers in the Premiership? Have you yourself witnessed/been the victim of homophobic abuse during a football match? These are the sorts of questions I’m looking at and any response, regardless of how opinionated, would be very welcome… |
