Smile Who is the player of the year from Premiership?

Quite simple really, who was the best player in the Premiership season 2005-06?

Possible candidates include

Henry
Rooney
Lampard
Joe Cole
Robinson
Keane
Fabregas
Gerrard
Drogba

If just purely based on Premiership form then I would choose Lampard.

If based on all competitions then the winner would be Henry.

So what do you think?

Steven gerrard for me, hes a genius! He runs liverpool, without him i believe they would be down in about 8th place! lampard isnt as good plus he has got more better players round him!
henry 2nd this year for me, hes outstanding!

What?? No Drogba??

Agreed about Gerrard, he is outstanding..in the Premiership. I think that he still has to produce that same magic at international level.

Unhappy

on form it has to be Lampard ( oh it bloody pains me to admit now he's a blue, sob. c'mon home Frankie boy)

for us i have to go for either Bobby Zamora, only played 20 games but 10 goals ( and a dyed in the wool hammers fan) or Marlon Harewood, plenyt of goals

No Yossi Benayoun? I though that he had a great season at the Hammers. Mind you plenty have, Mullens and Sheringham too.

The thing about internationals is sometimes your style of play clicks better with different players, or different players dont use you as much for what you do best! I think gerrard is performing well for England, and he will be the main man for getting them to the quarter finals! Lampard is great too, but gerrard has thta bit eaxtra!

Drogba is a diving cheating piece of dung, and wouldnt get him to clean my boots!

Rooney has been excellent, same goes for Joe Cole and John Terry! Great season by all really!

It's all prefrence, but to be honest there have been a lot of great individual class from various players, and every ones vote is pretty valid!

Give Pardew his due, he's really starting to build an impressive squad, and the addition of Ashton should ensure plenty of goals at the Boleyn.

and hands off lol

Automatic place for Europe next season?

I didn't see much of Ashton before he joined West Ham but he looks good. Reminds me of a young Shearer, but with more muscle about him.

I will send a little note to Gordon...

I also think that Keane at Spurs has had a fantastic season, especially since he was seen as third striker at the start of the season.

The best player in the premiership?

Robinson at Spurs, most improved player this year.

I think that now he is England's No1 we have a great chance....waiting for the abuse from the Scots....

no abuse here my friend. like you say, you have a chance. unfortunately your media and some of your countrymen seem to be of the opinion that you just have to turn up.

we would need to have a right chip on our shoulders' if we didn't concede you had a chance

still won't be supprting you though. well come on , you didn't think i would now did you?

Cannot believe no-one has suggested John Terry.

He's been outstanding for Chelsea and looks like Englands best central defender.

Here's hoping he gets injured against Paraguay.

mentioned Terry myself in thread regarding Ferdinand. i know where you are coming from juan as , in my opinion, he is one of the top central defenders in the world.

in fact there's a question, if Terry was in your 1st eleven, who would be his partner at the back???
