Great result for the Toon last night , looks like I got that one wrong, even though at 4-2 AZ are not out of it I think Newcastle will win the tie now.

Some suprising results in the Uefa cup last night with Sevilla being held at home by Shaktar Donesk and in danger of going out, Benfica lost 2-1 to PSG and although they will fancy their chances of turning it around in the 2nd leg I'm not so sure.

Good result for Spurs as well 3-2 against the Arsenalistas what price a Tottenham - Newcastle final , I think Werder Bremen are the only threat now to the English sides.

The Toon are out I'm afraid they lost 2-0 in Holland tonight to go out on away goals ,AZ are a good team but it was all looking so good after half an hour at ST James's

does everybody else here believe that someone needs to go up to Freddy Sheperd, shake him about while shouting "BUY SOME FECKING DEFENDERS!!!!!"

They keep persisting in playing titus bramble. The guy is a donkey and Steven Taylor still has a lot to learn. . I really realy wanted Newcastle to go through but they have to have a major rethink. They need three quality defenders, preferbly without poor injury records.
