despite newcastles recent bad form in the premiership, they have a 100% record in the uefa cup. with 3 wins and a draw out of 4, they are doing well. they have now finished top of the group and so as a result could go quite far as they are not going to be paired with a champ league drop-out. if they do continue with their form, there is a chance that they could get at least to the final stages.

the quarters is the furthest i think they can expect considering the quality of some of the other teams as well as the third placed c/l teams still to drop into the Uefa

they look good now...but there are going to be some scary teams coming in. I believe they are a good team and can hold their own, it would be a big confidence booster if they do well given how they are doing in the premirship...they are in a similar position to liverpool.

i dont think so you might have beat spurs today but the fact is you geordies only dream of being as big aclub as spurs . who will end up winning the uffa cup .

I agree with an earlier post in here. The QF's is a likely finish for Newcastle. PSV, Werder Bremen, Sevilla and Tottenham are probably the sides (if they avoid each other) who will probably make the Semis (if it was down purely on quality).

I'd say there are 4 class sides left in the UEFA cup , Sevilla, Benfica ,Spurs & Werder Bremen but AZ are the best of the rest imo.
