vCash: 480 | Spurs coach Allen slams Spanish police Tottenham coach Clive Allen has condemned the “disgusting” behaviour of the Spanish police during his side’s UEFA Cup tie in Seville. Trouble flared up during Thursday night’s quarter-final first leg against Sevilla, with baton-wielding riot police clashing with Spurs fans at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. Allen was on the Tottenham bench but was dismayed to hear stories of the methods employed by officers to tackle the problem. He said on BBC Radio Five Live: “The alarming stories that are coming out, with women, children and disabled supporters that were struck by the police, I find that quite disgusting really and it’s very, very disappointing to hear that sort of story.” |

vCash: 500 | Well the handling by the police was disgusting and savage. I'm sure something provoked it but I can promise you that had it been in this country with our police...it would have been dealt with easily without the use of batons on disabled fans, children and women. I dare anyone not to react to what went on. Isn't it strange how this has happened two days in a row? Don't think the Spanish Police were excited do you? |

vCash: 465 | this uefa we're talking the most anti england organisation going any hint of crowd trouble in europe when english teams are involoved everyone assumes we are to blame, more often than not we're sinnned against but because it's an english team that doesn't matter as we're all mindless thugs. |

vCash: 465 | how did you work that out most of the english firms arn't as active anymore and most of the trouble comes from th lower leagues because there's less cctv and police prescence, while it still goes on we as travelling football fans are no where near as bad as our european and international counterparts, but because it was england that the problem became widespread and the press got hold of it then everyone blames us, as i've yet to hear monkey chants and nazi gestures at any british football matches yet i'd say we have a much better control of the situation than many other countries who prefer mob handed tactics to try and disperse crowd trouble than better security measures, this as we saw in the eighties only encourages violence not stamp it out so to say that english fans are mostly to blame is pushing it a bit far |

vCash: 465 | i disagree i think that perhaps the minority of fans go to cause trouble most go there to watch there team entertain them and if there not spurs fans normally win . i think poss our soft immigration laws are to blame as now most of the violence tends to come from eastern europeans not the english fans, and besides don't tell me you've never sworn at the ref or rival fans before it's all part of supporting your team |

vCash: 726 | have to disagree with the immigration idea, i'm afraid. English football hooliganism has been around for nearly 40 years now, long before the recent eastern european immigrant influx. besides, why would non-English hooligans travel around Europe, following English teams and chanting pro-English slogans? especially when all the foreigners are supposed to hate England so much - doesn't make much sense to me, to be honest. |

vCash: 465 | while us brits started the ball rolling with football violence we are now prob the least violent country in terms of football violence as 99% of the time the police have it under control most of our violence seems to happen abroad and then it seems because the international firms are looking for a scrap, now to me that seems to be sinned against not the cause of it, take the two most recent episodes in roma the home fans rushed towards the man u fans and were throwing missiles the italian police just charged the man u fans and in seville as far as i'm aware the spurs fans were asking where the toilet was before they were baton charged and then they reacted, even when england played at st james and there were supposed clashes with rival fans turned out to be a north east scrap between geordies and maccems the eighties and early nineties are distant bad memories to most football fans and the sort of scenes that were commonplace have faded into existence apart from europe and south america, so i think that there is a anti england feeling towards travelling english fans many who take there own kids, not the skin heads of old |

vCash: 465 | your national team fans are fantastic same as the irish but read a story today which said that arrests to do with football are increasing with chelsea and manu fans the worst offenders, and while violence wasn't mentioned it seems that anti social behaviour is on the rise and that can't be good |
