Now, as to Barcelona, they play in a VERY Spanish way. They pass fast, move lots, dribble effectively and they know when to take a dive too. They also have a core of Spanish players, such as Puyol, Iniesta, Xavi, Pique, Hernandez, Valdes and Villa. Plus they are managed by Guardiola.
And they’re bloody fantastic.
So, the cream of Spain is very Spanish. The cream of England (Man U and Chelsea) are very English. The cream of Italy? Not very Italian.

No, you’re the one who is saying that Inter won, and that they’re an Italian team. I was pointing out that by any objective measure other than the fact that Inter Milan play in the Serie A, they are not an Italian team.
Arsenal are not really an English team, style-wise. Ask any Englishman, and they will tell you the same thing. At their height under Wenger they played almost like France’s national team. Sure they won, but no-one would claim they did it in an ‘English’ style.

To be an Italian team, you must have some actually Italian players contributing to its success, and you have to play in an Italian style. Inter under Mourinho doesn’t fit either of those criteria.

Grosso beat one defender who fouled him by trying to hold him back, and was tripped up by a second who missed the ball entirely. When you are running, and in that heat especially, and someone slides his body into your legs, it will disrupt your equilibrium. Grosso was fouled in the box..penalty shot. Had he kept his feet, advantage would have been played and if they did not score it would have been a penaly. If you wantto talk about cheating and phsyical play, watch Germany in ’82. Thugs.
